Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth Naturally....at YummyEarth

Once upon a time a couple of young dads got together and tried to figure out a way to extend their love for all things healthy and organic to the candy aisle. Their goal was to create candies that they could be proud to call their own while exposing their children to delicious flavors minus harsh chemicals or added preservatives. The result - YummyEarth candies!

Yummy YummyEarth lollipops and fruit drops solve a number of problems that moms and dads seeking healthy alternatives have. These incredible candies are certified as organic (both USDA and EU), are made without high fructose corn syrup, meet kosher standards, and are free of glutens. Not only that, but they're made on machines that never come in contact with any sort of peanut or tree nut, so those with sensitivities never have to worry about accidental exposure.

You might be wondering how many lollipop flavors an organic company could possibly come up with, and you'd be surprised. Organic Lollipops from YummyEarth come in 14 original flavors while their Organic Candy Drops are made in 20 flavors. They've even created an assortment of 21 "artisan" flavors as well! Those looking for a little extra zing will enjoy their line of Hot Chili Pops, in both Chili Lime Lambada and Chili Mango Mambo flavors! Yum! (I keep these on my desk ;>) )

Remember, healthy foods don't have to taste bad. YummyEarth products are living proof. Here are some examples of their naturally created flavors:

  • Cheeky Lemon,
  • Mango Tango,
  • Pomegranate Pucker,
  • Googly Grape,
  • Wet-Face Watermelon,
  • Hopscotch Butterscotch,
  • Cinnamon Stick,
  • Ginger Zest,
  • Strawberry Smash, and
  • Tickled-Pink Grapefruit

With a wide variety of ordering options and incredibly reasonable prices, YummyEarth candies are treats you can be proud to give your children (or, you know, keep for yourself)!

Cape Cod Provisions Candy

When is candy healthy for you? When it makes use of healthy food such as cranberries!

The name Cape Cod evokes the memories of many things... the romance of the old wooden whaling fleets; the salty tang of sea air; sturdy, uncompromising individuals who went out with their lobster traps, and today, the weekend vacationer.

CapecodAnd cranberries. Which cranberry lovers won't get a thrill when they hear of the cranberry bogs of Cape Cod? And now you can taste genuine Cape Cod cranberries from Cape Cod Provisions.

Cranberries are one of only three fruits that are native to North America. The Native Americans had perfected their use long before Europeans arrived. It was  in 1816 that a Cape Codder realized that wild cranberries grew best when sand blew over them, so he set out his vines and covered them in the same way. Other farmers copied his technique, and cranberry farms, or bogs, on the Cape proliferated. Many of those farms are still in operation today, and cranberries are being harvested off those same vines.

Cranberry Bog Frogs are one of the interestingly-named but absolutely delicious offerings of Cape Cod Provisions. "Sweetened dried cranberries, roasted cashews and creamy caramel, drenched in milk chocolate and garnished with a cranberry." is the description. The Frog puts the Turtle to shame!

Yogurt and chocolate covered cranberries are also available, as are chocolate bars covered with the tart little berry for an amazing flavor. We sampled the Key Lime Truffles...tart and sweet and utterly devine!

Of course should you feel the need for a change once in a while, Cape Cod Provisions also offers dark or milk-chocolate coated fruits such as dried blueberries, red cherries, and orange peel!

Seasonal packaging that evokes Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter round out their offerings.

Do your self a favor...you might not be able to make it to Cape Cod this summer, but you can easily visit Cape Cod Provisions!

Chocolate Gourmet's Ugly Truffles and Damn Good Cookies...

We have discovered a gem. A sweet-lover's paradise. We have found ChocolateGourmet.com and the fabulous treats they offer!

They call their hand rolled truffles "ugly truffles" (we don't agree!) and their rich, buttery cookies "damn good cookies" (we agree!). Now, the name calling doesn't stop there. There are cookies called chubby wubby chocolate, overprotective pecan, rockabye raspberry, controlling coconut, and maternal macadamia nut. Can't you just imagine some great occasions to send these to someone befitting the name?? Boxes

And it's not enough that these poor truffles are called ugly..listen to what else they're called. Homely Hazelnut? Hairy Coconut? Messed up Mocha? Put your clothes on Chocolate? You Suck Lemon! They've got to be sporting a complex! Regardless of their names, they are simply delicious!

The tasty cookies are fresh baked and delivered the very same day. Flaky, homemade, rich in flavor. And every cookie has a special touch..bittersweet ganache, crisp coconut, homemade raspberry preserve. As close to visiting your neighborhood bakery that you are ever going to get. And that's if you still have a neighborhood bakery.

Damn

The truffles are smooth, rich and creamy and each one totally different than the next. Two surprises were the Morning After Merlot...merlot ganache surrounded with bittersweet chocolate and rolled in red velvet cake crumbs, and Gordito Picante...smooth cinnamony Mexican chocolate warmed with chili spices and surrounded in milk chocolate and ground tortillas! How did they ever think those up?

ChocolateGourmet.com also offers homemade rugelach...you know those little rolled sweet cream cheese pastries filled with luscious fillings? Like apricot, cherry and hazelnut!

And if you are looking for wedding favors, or corporate gifts customized for your occasion...well, they will happily oblige!

The packaging is unique, the buying options numerous, the baked goods phenomenal. so...what are you waiting for? Visit www.chocolategourmet.com and remember to add them to your favorites. We guarantee you will visit often.

SPUD Fudge

I have a confession to make. My absolute favorite food and my absolute weakness  is potatoes...any way. Mashed, whipped, baked, loaded with carbs and calories. And then my second...chocolate.

Creelbasket So, you can imagine what it felt like to have the privilege of reviewing Spud Fudge...a creamy, rich fudge made with potatoes!! Go figure. How lucky am I?

Sandee Tuck of Sandee's Candee's is the genius behind this gourmet delight.  It takes twelve steps tp prepare Spud Fudge, and the potatoes replace 1/3 of the sugar. So, her theory is...you can eat 1/3 more fudge! The fudge she prepares, still by hand, come in a variety of of flavors and shapes, but the one that has created the most excitement is the "baked potatoe replica". Complete with the look of butter, sour cream, and even foil. Innovative.

Sandee's fudge is being discovered...even airing on Food Network. You know what that means. It's a great product, and you will want it! You can purchase Spud Fudge here!
